Scaffold Plank

Solid sawn dressed (1 ½” thick) or rough (1 5/8” thick) scaffold plank is available in 2x10 or 2x12 dimensions.  Each piece carries a stamp that says it meets OSHA specifications.  To make the boards more durable, the corners of each piece can be “clipped” and a metal dowel is inserted through the entire width of the board (rodding).  This is done on both ends of the board so that when it’s dropped, the shock is evenly distributed to keep the end from splitting. The edges of each piece can be branded with a 13 characters such as a company name or a start date of service.  Maximum length is 16’
